On Saturday, April 17, 2021, FNB hosted a Free Shred Day open to all at the Morrison Office. We appreciate everyone who participated! Shred Day helpers were Doug Vanderlaan
and Angie Erickson.
On May 4, 2021, FNB’s Morrison Office donated

FNB held their annual employee pumpkin decorating contest during the month of October. FNB employees volunteered to decorate a pumpkin and the employee with the most votes from customers selected a local charity to receive $100. Brenda Martin was the winner from the Morrison Office and pictured above is Brenda with her creation. Heather selected the Granny Rose Animal Shelter to receive the donation!
One of the local charities to receive monetary and tangible item donations from our Charity Jean Days during third quarter 2020, was WQUD Vintage Radio’s We Care Package Drive for our troops. FNB Ag Lenders participated in another successful QC Farm Show event held January 19 – 21, 2020 at the Quad City Expo Center. Pictured at the Sunday event are FNB Ag Lenders Bill Dale of the Geneseo Office and Garett Plumley of the Prophetstown Office.

In addition to our regular monthly Charity Jean Day, FNB employees have an option to also wear jeans on Saturdays by donating to local organizations. Donated items are distributed to local organizations throughout the year as designated on a quarterly basis by each FNB Office. During the fourth quarter 2019, each FNB Office collected items for the local humane societies. The FNB Prophetstown and Morrison Offices donated items and $152 to the Happy Tails Humane Society. On October 3, 2019, Farmers National Bank donated $25,000 to the Whiteside County Fair Grandstand Project. The project is currently underway and is expected to be completed for the 150th anniversary of the fair in 2020. During the third quarter of 2019, each FNB Office collected items for the troops. Those items along with a cash donation of $361 were donated to WQUD-FM Vintage Radio station out of Erie, Illinois who head up the We Care Packages program to send the items to the troops in December! FNB once again proudly sponsored United Way’s Power of the Purse Fundraiser on September 26, 2019. This event raises funds for the L.I.F.E (Literacy is Fun for Everyone) program which provides books at no cost to every child from newborn to age 5 in Whiteside County. The event raised over $30,000! FNB also had strong representation at the event held at Deer Valley Country Club. On Friday, August 30, 2019, FNB held their third annual Grab & Go Customer Appreciation Lunch. Each FNB office served 300 – 400 patrons. The free lunch included a sandwich, chips, cookie, and a water in an insulated FNB lunch bag.
On July 31, 2019, FNB sponsored all booths at the Morrison Farmer’s Market evening event. Free lunch bags filled with cookies, peanuts and water were handed out to all market goers. Pictured are Morrison FNB employees left to right: Doug, Brenda, Angie, Marlo, Ashley, and Kristi.
On June 1, 2019, Doug Vanderlaan and Kristi Bass represented FNB at the opening day for the Morrison’s Farmers Market. Doug, Kristi, and Kristi’s husband, Andy, set up the FNB tent and handed out reusable bags and other marketing items to market visitors. It was a nice turn out for being the first day of the year, and in a new location at the French Creek Park instead of Main Street in Morrison.
On Saturday, April 20, 2019, FNB hosted a Free Shred Day at all three FNB Offices. Prophetstown shredded 7,000 pounds, Geneseo shredded 6,025 pounds and Morrison shredded 4,890 pounds of paper! It was a beautiful Spring day for the event and we appreciate everyone who stopped by with their shred.
