The Farmers National Bank 115th Anniversary float was well-represented at the Christmas parades in Prophetstown, Morrison and Geneseo. On November 25th, several employees and some of their families represented the bank in the Prophetstown parade. Those attending had a good time throwing candy to the many children waiting anxiously. The following week, Morrison held their Hometown Holiday celebration. Again, the bank was well-represented and those attending could not have asked for better weather. It was a beautiful evening. Geneseo wrapped up the parade festivities with several employees and family representing the bank in their parade on December 9th.
Scott, Mike, Steve, and Nick competed in the Hammond Henry Hospital Golf Outing in September. The event was held at the Kewanee Dunes Golf Club with favorable weather for September. They enjoyed their time out on the course and finished the day 6 under par.
FNB held an employee pumpkin decorating contest in October 2017 as one of our monthly events to celebrate our 115th anniversary. Employees volunteered to decorate a pumpkin and the employee with the most votes from customers selected a charity/organization of their choice to receive a $115 donation.
Tonia DeLong was the winner from our Geneseo Office. Tonia selected the Henry County Humane Society to receive $115.

Farmers National Bank employees (Steve Taets, Garett Plumley, Nick Emmerson and Don Vogel) participated in the Abilities Plus golf outing on August 7, 2017.
On Friday, August 25, 2017 all three FNB Offices held a grab and go customer appreciation lunch in celebration of FNB’s 115th anniversary. In Geneseo, Lea’s Meats grilled pork loins and hot dogs. Nearly 450 customers were served a free lunch by FNB employees.
FNB participated in the Geneseo Lighted Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 10, 2016. The theme of the parade was Peace on Earth.

FNB’s Theresa Klotz reads to a Geneseo Middle School student for the Geneseo Education Foundation. This program is designed to increase students’ achievements in reading while also promoting community involvement.
On September 26, 2015, Geneseo hosted a Shred & Recycle Event in Geneseo at the Jo Carroll Energy facility from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. Thankful customers and members of our communities attended in perfect weather to utilize both the shredding and recycling services. Vehicles were lined up on Chicago Street onto Route 6 with a steady flow of traffic until the event ended at noon.
April 28, 2015 Famers National Bank has made a $20,000 donation to the Geneseo Park District’s new Outdoor Pool Project. Bill Dale, Farmers National Bank Community President stated; “We are very pleased to join the many other businesses, individuals and organizations that are donating their money, time and talents to help make this community project become a reality for Geneseo and the surrounding area”.

On Saturday, August 9th, 2014, FNB welcomed nearly 400 guests at our customer appreciation cookout at Richmond Hill Park in Geneseo. We had a great turnout along with beautiful weather. Everyone enjoyed the food cooked by Henry County Beef Association, music by DJ Andy Cruse, clown entertainment from “Toto” and the delicious Dairy Queen Blizzards and Subway cookies. The cookout lasted from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with prizes raffled every 15 minutes and Gift Cards to Fareway awarded at the end of the event.
