Through the efforts of our enthusiastic team member-volunteers and our contributions, we share our success within our communities by giving back to non-profits and educational institutions that address vital community needs and issues.

Prophetstown

    QC Farm Show


    FNB Ag Lenders participated in another successful QC Farm Show event held January 19 – 21, 2020 at the Quad City Expo Center.  Pictured at the Sunday event are FNB Ag Lenders Bill Dale of the Geneseo Office and Garett Plumley of the Prophetstown Office.

    Charity Jean Day - Prophetstown and Morrison


    In addition to our regular monthly Charity Jean Day, FNB employees have an option to also wear jeans on Saturdays by donating to local organizations. Donated items are distributed to local organizations throughout the year as designated on a quarterly basis by each FNB Office. During the fourth quarter 2019, each FNB Office collected items for the local humane societies. The FNB Prophetstown and Morrison Offices donated items and $152 to the Happy Tails Humane Society.     Lighted Christmas Parade - Prophetstown




    FNB participated in Prophetstown’s Lighted Christmas Parade on Saturday, November 30, 2019.  A hospitality table was set up on Main Street at the Prophetstown Post Office with FNB employees handing out free hot chocolate and cookies.  Pictured above is FNB’s parade entry, Santa’s sleigh.

    Charity Jean Day 2019


    In addition to our regular monthly Charity Jean Day, Farmers National Bank employees have an option to also wear jeans on Saturdays by donating to local organizations.  Donated items are distributed to local organizations throughout the year as designated on a quarterly basis by each FNB Office.  During the third quarter of 2019, each FNB Office collected items for the troops.  Those items along with a cash donation of $361 were donated to WQUD-FM Vintage Radio station out of Erie, Illinois who head up the We Care Packages program to send the items to the troops in December!  Pictured above are FNB employees Jessi Waddell and Megan Thompson along with WQUD’s Aaron Dail. 

    United Way’s Power of the Purse Fundraiser 2019


    FNB once again proudly sponsored United Way’s Power of the Purse Fundraiser on September 26, 2019.  This event raises funds for the L.I.F.E (Literacy is Fun for Everyone) program which provides books at no cost to every child from newborn to age 5 in Whiteside County.  The event raised over $30,000!     3rd Annual Grab & Go Customer Appreciation Lunch - Prophetstown

      

    On Friday, August 30, 2019, FNB held their third annual Grab & Go Customer Appreciation Lunch.  Each FNB office served 300 – 400 patrons.  The free lunch included a sandwich, chips, cookie, and a water in an insulated FNB lunch bag.

Geneseo

    FNB donates $10,000.00 to Rebuilding Together.


    In 2018 the Rebuilding Together board determined the need of a permanent location. The single new site will replace six or seven other locations where they are currently using office, storage and workspace, some donated and some rental. Rebuilding is looking forward to a “place of our own”. For more information about the organization or to donate, visit www.rebuildingtogether-hc.org.

    2020 JA Bowl A-Thon

    Henry County, You Bowled Us Over!

    FNB Geneseo office employees participated in the 2020 JA Bowl A-Thon at Lee’s Lanes on Saturday, February 1, 2020.  Because of events like this, Henry County students will benefit from JA programs this school year.  FNB employees pictured above are L to R: Tina Floming, Tonia DeLong, Jo Holevoet, Steve Taets and his wife Kendra, and Theresa Klotz.

    Morrison Athletic Boosters Chuck-A-Puck Event

    FNB donated 200 reusable bags to Odell Public Library

    FNB donated 200 reusable bags to Odell Public Library for their book/bake sale that was held on November 2, 2019. Pictured are FNB employee, Angie Erickson, and Library Director, Meridith Layne.

    Farmers National Bank donates to Whiteside County Fair Grandstand Project

    On October 3, 2019, Farmers National Bank donated $25,000 to the Whiteside County Fair Grandstand Project. The project is currently underway and is expected to be completed for the 150th anniversary of the fair in 2020.
